Much of the history of the past 200 years revolved around a single idea. It was the vision that life could be lived in peace and brotherhood if only property were shared by all and distributed equally, eliminating the source of greed, envy, poverty and strife. This idea was called "socialism" and it was man's most ambitious attempt to supplant religion with a doctrine grounded on science rather than revelation.

Today, after a hiatus of a couple of decades, new voices are championing the idea once again. From Venezuela to Britain and even within the United States, socialism is back. What lessons have been learned, and what has been forgotten?

This six-part documentary series produced by Grace Creek Media and hosted by Bret Baier tells the story of socialism’s rise, fall and rebirth. The series debuted on Fox Nation in February 2020 and was presented as a special one-hour prime time event on the Fox News Channel.

“Today, a new generation is coming of age with no direct memory of socialism,” says writer and executive producer Andrew Walworth, President of Grace Creek Media. “As a result, socialism has gained a new cachet as a panacea for the pains of globalization, migration and industrial obsolescence. The image of equality, harmony and easy abundance still tantalizes. History is far from over, and we are glad to have the opportunity to tell this important story at this critical moment.”
